Artist Statement
An exterior mural created with the intention of offering the residents of Elmwood Square a visual reprieve from Buffalo’s swirling summer winds, and harsh winters. The composition of layered, kinetic mark making invites multiple viewings, revealing itself in full over time.
Biography
Hebermehl creates visual vortexes. His work shape-shifts to fit the space and the occasion, from the crumpled confines of scrap paper to the broad expanse of a stadium wall. Compelling and often collaborative, Hebermehl’s artwork transforms shared spaces and enhances collective experiences.
