PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Purview, defined as the range or scope of what one is able to perceive or understand, brings together a group of contemporary primarily New York City based artists whose practices examine how perception is shaped, mediated, and continually redefined through the experience of contemporary life. Each artist offers a distinct visual language and point of view, reflecting the multiplicity of ways we see and interpret the world around us. Through varied approaches to light, form, space, and narrative, the works invite viewers to move between observation and introspection. In doing so, Purview suggests that perception is not singular, but plural, constructed through movement, memory, place, and the subtle interplay between environment and self.
