About the Role:

We’re looking for a passionate, detail-driven Art Curator / In-House Art Consultant to join our innovative, fast-growing team. In this role, you won’t just select art, you’ll shape spaces, elevate experiences, and craft compelling visual narratives that resonate with each client’s vision. From concept to installation, you'll manage and curate commercial art projects across a wide range of formats, including commissions, murals, original works, limited editions, and licensed pieces.

This role blends creativity with logistics. You’ll collaborate directly with clients, source and manage artist relationships, plan installations with precision, and support everything from event-based activations to visual storytelling through photography and documentation. You'll also curate bespoke presentations for new business and project pitches, ensuring every artwork tells a story aligned with our client’s goals.

This is a remote-first role, but applicants must be based in the NYC tri-state area (NY, NJ, CT) for occasional on-site meetings and client-facing activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end curation of commercial art projects, from concept development to final installation, which may include original art, commissions, murals, exhibitions, and more.

  • Develop and present tailored art proposals and pitch decks for new business and project opportunities.

  • Source, vet and manage artist relationships across disciplines and mediums; negotiate contracts and fees.

  • Coordinate production and installation logistics with operations teams to meet timelines and budgets.

  • Support art documentation efforts through photography, videography, and storytelling that capture the impact of installed work.

  • Utilize internal platforms and tools to manage projects and workflow.

  • Support business development efforts with an understanding of art sales trends and the ability to translate client needs into revenue-generating art solutions.

What We're Looking For:

Required Experience:

  • Client-facing experience and excellent verbal and written communication.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail.

  • Fluency in creating pitch decks for client presentations.

  • Experience sourcing and vetting artist talent across disciplines.

  • Strong ability to cultivate and manage artist relationships.

  • Professionalism, accountability, and follow-through.

  • Impeccable organizational skills and a proactive mindset.

  • Self-starter, quick learner, and comfortable with digital tools and systems.

  • Team player with a collaborative spirit and high integrity.

  • Tech-savvy and comfortable with project management and communication tools (e.g. Google Workspace, Basecamp, etc.).

Preferred Experience:

  • Demonstrated ability in overseeing mural projects (large and small scale) for high-caliber clients.

  • Background in managing gallery or exhibition rotations, especially involving consigned artworks.

  • Background in curatorial work, consulting, or creative production.

  • Knowledge of art installation best practices, including:

    • Hanging and placing artworks in varied space

    • Directing art handlers and installation teams

  • Ability to read and understand architectural and site plans to curate art by scale and placement.

  • Experience using Figma (or similar tools) to create layout mockups and visualize art placement on walls.

  • Familiarity with artwork sales, contracts, fabrication, and installation processes.

  • Interest in the arts, design, or creative industries.

  • Experience working in galleries, art fairs, exhibitions, or creative agencies.

  • Experience in a sales or client services capacity within the art, design, or creative industries.

  • Proven success in driving or supporting sales of artwork, commissions, or creative services.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
